Smoking Cessation

Quit smoking with the help of acupuncture!

Acupuncture is not a magic cure in the treatment of any addiction, including smoking. But, acupuncture is effective in making it easier to quit and remain smoke-free for good.

Smoking Cessation Definition:

It is estimated that every year 30% of tobacco smokers attempt to quit smoking, but less than 10% succeed.  In a study done by the American Journal of Public Health, it found that it was the combination of acupuncture as well as education, which helped to significantly reduce smoking.

Acupuncture is widely known and accepted as a form of treatment to assist in the recovery from addictions. Acupuncture assists the body in many different ways to help the body detox and have a safe and effective recovery.

One of the ways acupuncture can assist in recovery from addiction is assisting the body to produce endorphins to increase capacity to cope with stress and cravings. Acupuncture can also help to address mental and emotional issues that may come up during the recovery process as well. Acupuncture is not the only treatment for addiction, nor is it a “cure”, it is a means in the recovery process of the person to help them cope with addiction and recovery.
