Neuropathy

Suffer from numbness and tingling?

Not able to enjoy your activities because you are worried that you may fall because you can't feel your feet?

We can help!

What is Neuropathy?

Neuropathy is often caused by diabetes but can also happen for other reasons such as injury or genetics. Sometimes the cause is unknown. Your doctor may recommend medications such as Gabapentin or Lyrica but these often provide limited relief.

Neuropathy Causes:

Common causes of neuropathy include:

  • Diabetes
  • B12 deficiency
  • Chemotherapy induced neuropathy
  • Kidney disfunction
  • Toxins or infections
  • Unknown or idiopathic

What are common Neuropathy Symptoms?

  • Pins and needles
  • Numbness or tingling
  • Nerve pain down or up legs or arms
  • Stabbing, burning pains

Some people experience numbness as the nerve damage progresses. Once sensation is lost in the feet, balance problems start to occur and you may be at risk of falling.

If it is in your hands, you may experience weakened grip and begin to drop things.

I have been treated for hip pain issues. I have found that the acupuncture has helped to control the pain and discomfort that I have been experiencing. I would recommend Starting Acupuncture if you are looking for relief that you have not received with other forms of treatment. - S.F.

I'm impressed. Dr. Ellie is an excellent provider. She successfully relieved a migraine in progress. The ones in between are usually less severe than they were. That's why I sought out Starting Point. A side benefit has been better sleep and reflux relief. - A.S.

I was recommended to Dr. Ellie by my neighbor. I can't thank her enough. I have had several acupuncture treatments over the past four weeks and the results are miraculous for my allergies. I expect to continue on to wellness treatment. The office is peaceful, very clean and operated in an extremely professional manner. - D.C.

I am a believer in Acupuncture, I have chronic Neck and arm pain and the treatments I have received have made the pain go away. I started my appointments in so much pain I could not lay down and relax so I started using a chair. By the 5th or 6th appointment I was able to relax and lay down. It's not an overnight treatment but I would suggest to anyone to try this and highly recommend Starting Point. - W.M.

Dr. Ellie was great. I came in to see her with a foot issue and I was also very stressed out. Her ongoing acupuncture treatments really helped with my foot and especially with my stress levels. She is professional offices were comfortable I enjoyed every time I went in.I would recommend her anytime. - D.D.
